*CHIGIRI-E ("chigiri" means to tear, "e" means pictures.) =japanese paper tearing art. WASHI (japanese handmade papers) are torn by fingers and glued to a thick backer board to create a picture. it is like a water-colored painting, except using papers instead of paints.
